14-Day Screenplay

Anyone else doing the 14-Day Screenplay challenge next month? 14dayscreenplay.com [14dayscreenplay.com] I've added "14-Day Screenplay" as an interest in my "Things I Like" StumbleUpon profile. I'd love to interact with other Stumblers who are taking on the challenge.

While I've published four books, pen a weekly column, and blog my booty off, the whole screenplay thing is a wee bit scary for me. Hopefully, by seeing it as a short-term commitment, I'll do okay. ;)

Cheers,
-Bon.

I'll be busy NaNoWriMoing my tail off to get 50,000 words in the month of November. Any other Nanoites out there and are you prepared?

yay for NaNo!

prepared, me? um... I'm Knoxville's Municiple Liaison! *waves title in air to distract people from his unpreparedness*

Well go on, ML! I'm awash with reference books when I should really be plotting, but you know how that goes. Doubtless I'll be winging it as usual...

Cheers,

No reason you can't do it. When you think about it, it's 1,667 words a day for 30 days. For me that's 2-3 hours 'cause I'm a crappy typist. The thing to do is not to edit as you go along. All you focus on is the word count, style and goodies like punctuation and spelling fall by the wayside. You may or may not have a cohesive story by the 30th but all that counts is how many words you have. Editing is for much later. So give it a try, Bonnie and everyone else out there with a novel inside them yearning to get out.

What? A whole 14 days for a screenplay rough draft? Piece of cake. Now NaNowriMo always trips me up.

Yep! I'm signed up. I'm prepared in that I have visualized my novel, so that in November all I have to do is type it up ;)
